In the aftermath of this devastating flood from Hurricane Harvey, many parishioners face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives; they lost their homes, vehicles and possessions. Two parishioners lost their lives, one of which was Mr. Peter Pellerin, bookkeeper of the bookstore at Queen of Angels. Having visited last year, I had the opportunity to meet him and can say he was a devoted and faithful man. His last act was trying to get to Mass. God rest his soul.
Queen of Angels did not take on any flooding, by the grace of God. Nor did the chapel in Spring, Texas. The Society has begun a relief fund for the parishioners and the parish which has taken on extensive damage, especially in the school, storage, and the parish hall.
Please be generous and do all you can for our fellow faithful of tradition, who are struggling during this difficult time.
